PAX QUARTERLY REVIEW

The quarterly Pax plays a central role in growing the faith in the multi-faceted parish of St James'. Its intent is to draw parishioners and others together by telling our story, celebrating the unique Christian community that we are and describing how our presence in this place, at this time, is honouring the Gospel narrative.

PAX CALL FOR MICHAELMAS SUBMISSIONS

Alongside the trustees' commitment to attaining financial equilibrium by 2012, PAX is reflecting on the Christian call to be "heirs through hope."

Please submit articles and photos related to our heritage, disciplines, and ordered living in light of the hope to which - and through which - we are heirs. Submissions can be dropped at the office, placed in the PAX mailbox or emailed to jen@amundgaards.com by September 22, 2010. PAX Michaelmas will be published in October.

See submission guidlines below. Note that articles should be no longer than 500 words.

Material for publication in PAX may be submitted as follows:

+ By email, in the body of the email to Allan Duncan,
+ Hand-written or typed copy delivered to the Pax mail slot at the top of the stairs to the church office.

+ All submissions will receive acknowledgement of reception and editorial review. Submissions are reviewed to the extent that they fit the mandate of Pax. The maximum length of submissions, unless otherwise specified, is 500 words. All submissions may be reviewed and/or edited for length, clarity, and organization.

Each issue follows a theme, usually reflecting the season of the Christian calendar or another specified topic. Both photography and text are core elements of the content. Articles and images are for the building up of the community of faith. Also, while reflecting the parish’s witness, the content of Pax maintains an outward looking focus.

+ For more information on submissions contact the church office at 604-685-2532.
