Doug's Ride
Where's Doug?
St. James’ parishioner Doug Ibbott is being kept in our daily prayers as he bicycles on an epic journey to raise money to build a clean water system for a village in the southern Ethiopian district of Bonke. This is a project of the HOPE International Development Agency, and Doug hopes to raise $50,000 towards it.
He left on May 8th and is traveling across Canada, then flying to Amsterdam, from where he will cycle on to Istanbul, Turkey.
He will be back in Vancouver in early December. Leg 2 of his journey will take place in 2011. Track Doug’s ride, read his blog, and see photos at www.dougsride.net.
